I expect this to begin trending downwards as the weather warms. As I’ve been saying for months now.

Groceries

My groceries were $343. A little above my goal but in the right direction.

Discretionary

My goal fund currently has $74.

In total I spent $2020.

Overall pretty good compared to my goal of $2100-$2200. We’re entering what I would consider Savings Season now that warmer weather has arrived. The graph below shows my expenses month to month.

The graph below shows the amount I could withdraw from my portfolio every year at my desired savings rate. I thought it would be an interesting way to think about the data.

The graph below tracks my change in net worth since I started tracking it in January 2023.

A slight dip this month, but I think that was mostly due to the changes in the stock market this month rather than anything specific. I’m not concerned yet.

Savings Rate

This month, my savings rate was: 69.5%.

My average savings rate Year to Date is: 70.9%.

Goals

With all that in mind, let’s take a look at the goals for the next few years.

GoalNotes
Net worth = $200,000 by the end of November 2024.Complete. Just maintaining until the end of the year.
Net worth = $250,000 (CoastFIRE)We’all see if I hit this goal this year. I’d like to but it feels ambitious.
Reach Lean FIRE (NW = $750,000)Still many years out.
Full FIRE (NW = $1,500,000)Still approximately 10 years out.
Start Housing fundI haven’t figured this one out yet. I may just push my FIRE goal some.
Establish GlidepathFinished.
Establish a moving fundI’ll probably take this from my retention bonus down the line.

Wrapping up

Overall, it was an okay month. I kept expenses down from previous months and I’m chugging along. There was a slight dip in net worth but I’m not concerned about it at all. Kind of just a standard month.
